yep thanx... . when I was at the stringer the other day, I compared his bg80/85 with my vs850 double blinded and both he and I concluded that vs850 is rougher to the touch

Will I die a horrible death if I use this stuff to string a racquet just to be used for plastics?

VS850 loses tension about as fast as Ultimax does. Has similar awesome transitioning though.

The problem is with strings, is that you can't have everything.

What are these 'plastic' things of which you speak?

Lol... I used to use this string for plastics too, and it's fine. Although now I find that zm65 is much better for that purpose.

Interesting. ZM65 is great on feathers but I'm not enjoying it on plastics - I'm certain I strung it at least 2lbs too high @23. Maybe if I didn't have more racquets than limbs I'd get used to where the sweetspot was... that will be rectified VERY soon

The tension loss puts me off using it for feathers but not fussed on plastics as long as it doesnt get SO loose that I cannot play for laughing at the BONGGGGG* sound. I hope that pre-stretch plus low tension (sub 25lbs) on a racquet with a rep for holding tension should be ok for a season on feathers. I've decided on a safer option for plastics so I'll keep the vs850 to try later.
