Just wondering if anyone had tried this 0.68mm Victor VS-850 Nanotec string? Its currently endorsed by the Korean players eg. Lee Yong Dae, JJ Sung, Park Sung Hwan, Lee HJ etc according to Victor China website.

I have. it is a really good string. The feeling is very similar to Yonex BG80, as expected since the Korean team was using this one before.

i don't have much confidence about Victor's string. last time i had VS650 on one of my rackets. very hard and stiff, and difficult to feel the shuttle at all.

    Totally agree !

I was told it is similar to BG66 but more durable but it feels hard and definitely don't have the crisp feeling of BG66.

    bg 65, stiff?
oh, ferrerkiko, you crack me up. Yonex labels it a soft feel string..... and i agree....
if you want to feel stiff, i think BG70 Pro might be a good start.

BG 65 is freaking soft, even if you string very high lbs, the tension drop like crazy. When i use bg65, i feel like using those stock string on cheap yonex racket.

Rather than asking, why not you give it a try and tell us whether it can last longer than BG66.

I've tried this string in the past and found it to be very good. It's one of the most powerful strings I've ever used.

Hi all, I'm new here and in badminton (just 1,5 year) too.
Was playing with Yonex Muscle Power 99 and loved it so much. But it has broken and I changed it to Victor Brave Sword 11 strung with Yonex Nanogy 95. I know that BS 11 is recomended string with VS-850.
So, must I cut out N 95 and change to VS-850 because of different gauge 0.69 vs 0.68 or I can leave with N 95? Just one nuance - to get Victor's strings is harder in Lithuania (here rules Yonex). So maybe I can change N95 to BG80 (the same gauge like VS-850)?

    Thank you

For me, this is a highly repulsive string like BG80, but slightly stiffer. Definitely worth a try. For those in Sg, I got it strung at Gala Sports for $20 - anyone knows a cheaper/better place?
