    Hi all, Michael here.

Had an old account here but that has long since disappeared. Anyways I decided I would make a new account. This is without a doubt the best place for info and general chat on badminton. Hopefully I can add something constructive.

I play in Waterford, Ireland. Check out our website.

I am playing 11 years and hopefully will be playing for years to come.

We have two courts. The building is almost 300 years old. It was a church which was damaged in a gas explosion about 40 years ago. The church didn't want to repair it so the club brought it and turned in into a badminton club.

The two courts are great, wooden sprung floors. The No.1 court (first two pics) is great for finals with the crowd so close makes for a fantastic atmosphere.

Was injured for a while and lost a bit of interest after a doctor told me I wouldn't play again (proved him wrong :p). So back now with a renewed interest so hopefully will be a far more frequent visitor to these forums.

300 year old badminton hall! That has to be a record. It looks great.:)

The wooden pews give a nice austere atmosphere for a small tourney .... or a nice Inquisition (One can picture Torquemada umpiring quite comfortably up on the high chair);)

    Thanks for the welcome :)

Always liked the atmosphere there for matches, hate the modern sports halls. Last tournament I was at had 16 courts and you feel lost playing in the big space.

    Thanks for the welcome :)
