Flying Dragon Badminton Club Seniors and Masters Tournament

    Hi,
    There will be a CASH prize badminton tournament held at the Flying Dragon Badminton Club Sunday December 20 and 27th 2009. Here are the details.

    Men's Doubles: December 20th at 5:30pm until 11pm (if necessary)
    Mixed Doubles: December 27th at 5:30pm until 11pm (if necessary)

    $35.00 Entry fee/player

    Cash prize structure as follows:
    50% of all entry fees paid in each event

    1st place - 40% of the purse
    2nd place - 27.5 % of the purse
    3rd place - 20% of the purse
    Consolation - 12.5% of the purse

    This is a Seniors and Masters tournament, unfortunately no Ontario A player or equal will be allowed.

    But the flooring at Flying Dragon was very bad on the knee! Was there any under padding now or is it still the same concrete floor? Sorry to ask here but it's my main concern!

    Its still pretty much the same. I haven't had any problems thus far playing there....sorry to hear that.

    It's raw concrete with thin court mat on top! Otherwise, I would be playing at FD for sure! Such a nice enviroment and facilities but poor flooring! Good luck to the tournament though!

    is it a member only event or an open event?
    feather or plastic?
    what's the tournament draw format?
    minimum two matches guaranteed or more?

    The documents are on the OBA site, www.ontariobadminton.on.ca, if you check the calender you'll see all the info posted up . Matches will be feather, unless both teams agree to use plastic. Birds are supplied for the finals. The draw will be random, there is a 2 match guarantee.
