This racquet is 30 or nearly 30 years old thereabouts. First time I have seen a Cab DX series in the flesh.. or in the graphite so to speak . The usual very old Cab 8s I have seen are the B-8500 so I wasn't even aware of the B-8600. This is in 2UG3. Not mine.. belongs to my cousin and not for sale
i used to got one brand new..but sold already. What i left rite now is the blacken B8100.Available for sale..price not fixed, negotiable.
I'm looking to collect a B-8500 green. I saw it the other day but the owner left before I could approach him (he's a kid though). I knew about the DX and always thought it was a B8500. Thanks for the information and photos. It's a classic!!!
My fav racket when i was in school Always choose it to play even i have Carb 8 SP and Carb 15. Very nice collection @aramis, hope @bengguan not see this thread wkwkwkwkwkwkwwkwk
The original cab 8 came about 30 years ago. The cab 8dx came a little bit later. My guess is around 1988. More like 20 years ago then. But i'm not absolutely sure so I leave that to the experts. I did own two cab 8dx in the early 90:s. One burgundy and one blue. There was also a yellow version and later a grey with purple text on the shaft. Boy do I miss them all.
25 is probably the maximum I would try for this racquet. Be careful though. Metal frame racquets bend easier.
i have one too! and i vividly remember the reason why i bought it. within the span of one year, i broke 3x cab21 and 1x cab12. i broke one cab21 each term in school, and then immediately after i got the cab12 as a replacement, that broke on the first week. i got so mad i went and bought the cab8dx vowing to never break a racket again. i still have the cab8dx with me. after 20 long years. wow. it has been 20 years. time flies.
