^^Do you think it was necessary to be locked??..^^

..i certainly don't...i mean, the comments in that particular thread, which are mostly opinions, were made on the article; not on individual BC members...

but of course, if the mods feel otherwise, then i/we can't say much..:p

Probably, admin kwun will still keep that thread locked

    .
We need moderator drifit to reply to your question.

Probably, admin kwun will still keep that thread locked. This is because many "Insensible Postings" have been made there.

I don't think we need a list of closed threads. If a thread you're interested is closed you'll find out soon enough, if you're not interested then you don't need a list.

Either way, I don't think it would help much.

..i don't really care if drifit or kwun wants to reply to the question or unlock that thread.:p
What kind of "insensible postings" are you referring to??..if they're postings that bothered some people, then i'm sure there is probably one or two in other threads..

People do spend time downloading and reading our posts: So please be considerate

    .
My whole point is to alert BCers to be more considerate when participating in our BC threads.

Probably, the thread turned sour at/from Post #48:

"What took u so long, after my +20,000 posts. Are u that slow? lol
Obviously u now resort to personal remark.

Respect?? to someone who call LD (or any other person) arrogant, an actor, unprovoked... Admission of LD being the best all around player after getting beaten so many times, is NOT an apology. Maybe u r worshipping false idol
    ".

if people only want to read nice things about their heros, the best option for them is to visit their hero's fan sites.

And yes, no one is stopping them from reading or downloading them either;)

We're not kids, don't need a thread just to remind us that :p

It's not for our BCers reading our threads, but for BCers posting

    .
Actually, this thread is to remind us BCers to be more considerate when posting.
It's not for our BCers (or our BC visitors) reading our threads.

I believe that this thread about closed threads.... may itself become closed if we continue...

There are sticky's in place that outline the rules about posting, if you need a reminder to follow the rules then just read the sticky again.

Insensible" means "Lacking in sensitivity to the feelings or circumstances of others"

    .
Ah... We are playing with words now.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
To me "Insensible" means "Lacking in sensitivity to the feelings or circumstances of others".

I don't think a listing of Closed Threads is necessary.

We should be grown up enough to act with a decorum of common sense when posting. A bit of fun is fine but it's the immature ones that never know where to draw the line and always need to have the last word. I respect the many posters who respond with restraint in the face of provocation. It's not easy.

As for the trolls, what's with them. Got a complex? Insecurity? Something missing in their lives? Loneliness? I feel sorry for them because of their desperate need for attention. Go ahead and have your moment in the sun. It won't last long; karma's gonna get you.

The word you want is insensitive... not insensible. Insensible means lacking sense, in other words, incapable or bereft of feeling or sensation.

the key is keeping discussion within topic, if the topic becomes boring or ran out of things to say, postings will subside naturally. The problem arises when some can't defend their point of view within topic and have to go off topic for their kicks (for ex. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1320617&postcount=59). Who is considerate and who's not is self disclosing. Also, creating another thread to rehash the same old is also... not considerate i must say. ;)

Thread closed ... so open another thread to talk about that closed thread??

First thing first, lets respect the actions taken by the mods. Why moan and start this thread to talk about a closed thread?

Secondly, when we talk about insensible postings, lets not have any double standards, shall we? I have said numerous times, in this forum there are bound to be various views/opinions. There will be positive and negative things going to be said about LD, LCW, TH etc etc. If we cannot accept facts no matter how bitter they may be, may as well we go to some LD, TH or LCW fan site because over there it is all positive stuff said about the shuttler. At the end of the day, we need to note that this is a badminton forum, not a TH/LD/KKK fans only site.

Hardcore fans of a certain shuttler/shuttlers need to accept the good and bad. If you want to debate, lets debate but leave out the petty name calling etc etc at the doorstep. I understand hardcore fans simply love and adore their favourite shuttler/s and they spent most of their waking hours here in this forum. But we still need to respect that others too are entitled to their views/opinions. And should their views dont agree with you, its either you learn to agree to disagree or ignore their postings. Moaning and whingeing aint gonna solve anything.
