I presume it will be similar to the powder that weightlifters use
But probaly worth just sticking to normal grips

Maybe Yonex just change the bottle design and give a different name and call it new.

    Awesome news, Blurry D.

I personally hope that the slightly higher price than the older AC467 is justified by improvements in performance.

I thought it was a new grip from Yonex when the OP posted "Powder Grip DX" as opposed to "Grip Powder DX". It makes quite a difference :p

I think it's a shame they got rid of the flip-cap top the old ones had. That was pretty easy during games...

Oh please, it's juts magnesiumpowder. Your grip gets wet, you plunk some of it on your grip, your grips gets dry....
    That's it...

As if I don't know what it is and how it works.

But I believe you're fortunate enough to not have palms that sweat so much that even a top grade magnesium powder such as the Karakal anti-slip one gets drench quickly when wet and form a sticky goo even with adequate toweling before application.

You just don't understand, it's that simple....

haha, you're telling me I don't sweat much? oh please.
I've gone through quite some can's of grippowder because I sweat quite enough.

My whole point is that grippowder is just powder, magnesium Carbonate or whatever. There's not much to review except "my hands got dry".

But then, if it makes you feel better,a friend of mine has a bottle of this 'new stuff'. It's basically the same as the 'old' powder but in a new bottle. I might be wrong on this, but I think the can is slightly bigger, not sure though.

There's a reason this thread is even created in the first place, the review remember? Since Blurry D has it, if it really is the old stuff repackaged in a slightly bigger bottle, he should inform us of his findings in this thread. Otherwise if he never replies anymore, THEN we can settle for your claim that it's just the old stuff and nothing new.

Like I said before, if it doesn't work for you it doesn't mean it also doesn't work for any one else.

Jerby is right. I just got the stuff 2 days ago. Dont ask me why it took so long.

It is just normal grip powder. In a nice bottle that does not have the flip cap. Thats about it.

Okay, this is just my last try: I use grippowder, I use towelgrip, I do sweat a lot and it does works for me.

Reiterating my previous post after blizzards review is way to easy, so I'll just leave it at that...

I see what you mean, thanks for that.

Hope it works better than the Karakal grip powder for me too.

    it does?
the baby powder I can buy here is stuffed full with oil and other 'softener' stuff, it makes my (towel)grip slippery en gooey.
What I use now is chalk for/from rockclimbers, you can buy 3 pounds for the price of a yonex can
