Hey BCers What extra stiff, headlight/even balance rackets do you guys recommend? Length has to be 675mm+ and the racket should be under 88g BTW I don't care what brand, and yes I do care about durability (overall and paint)
Cool, I'll just get a Panda Power trinity with those stats 85-87g and bp of 275-283mm ^^ It's just the cheaper version xD
I'm a Panda dealer, but I'll break protocol and push the NS9900: I have never had a racket fit me so utterly and completely. It has EVERYTHING - hits like a bazooka, defends telepathically and controls down to the milimeter. Head-light and X-Stiff (though I suspect the 9000X was a shade stiffer; the 9900 is more like a suped-up 8000, actually). The T2, though, is a dark horse at the moment - I'll bag a 287 from my shipment and spec it to reqs. THEN we'll see what's what.
Another vote for NS9900. Fantastic racket if you are looking for even - head light balance and stiff. Would agree with Mark that the NS9000x felt a little more stiff. Got mine about a week ago and loving ever minute with it.
Another +1 for the NS9000X or NS9900. I would say that the 9000X is a bit more extreme (perhaps slightly more head light and a little stiffer) than the 9900 but both are excellent rackets. I'd go with the 9900 just because it's slightly easier to get hold of than the 9000X (which is now discontinued) so if you want to play with it for a long time and need to stock up, it will be easier for you. Also, there was a time when some people questioned the durability of the NS9000X, whether those problems were isolated or not, I don't know but I certainly haven't heard any horror stories about the 9900.
Just to be awkward I much prefer the Trinity over the 2 Yonex's. NS9900 isn't what I'd call headlight, NS9000X is however. All are reasonably stiff. Mind you I can't seem to find any Yonex racket that I can play with well. Although you decided here's a few more for those who are interested: Ashaway superlight 79 (not as stiff as Trinity or Nanospeeds) Carlton Airblade Elite (out of production but still available fairly easily in the UK) SOTX Woven 8 plus others, never used them though.
I wouldn't call the woven 8 headlight. It is a little bit head heavy, but still quick. The only headlight racket I have is a 280 mm Trinity and I love it. Stiff and responsive. Have also used Cab 30MS. More evenly balanced but lovely nonetheless-- it would really respond to a strong wrist.
