    Hi all!

I've been playing doubles for a good 20 yrs, recently weekly in the past 3 yrs. I would say I'm at an intermediate level.

I play with nylon birds mostly, although I can play feather too.

I'm 160 lbs, medium build, not too muscular.

My style is snappy/wristy, ie. I use a whipping motion at the very last instant to accelerate the racket head to impart momentum onto the shuttle. However, I'm not a heavy smasher; I prefer tactical drives, drops, pushes, etc.

Current racket: 6 yr old Yonex Swing Power SS (medium stiff version) strung with BG65 22lbs, which is working out beautifully in terms of feel, power, net play.... at the slight expense of accuracy.

I'm looking for an improvement and also a backup racket just in case my current one fails (knocks on wood...). From my research, it would seem to be medium flex rackets like Arcsaber 7 or Nanospeed 7700 which would be most like my current racket and for my style.

What would you recommend for someone like me, knowing my style of play for doubles? Any rackets other than mentioned above?

    Thanx much in advance!

You could always try Master Dinkalots Panda Power rackets, I would say the Trinity series would probably suit your style, if you're going for ARC 7 why not pay a bit more and go for ARC 10? Maybe you can also look into Victor Bravesword 9?

    Hi Visor,

Arc 7 is a great choice (is budget is not a issue). I think it suit your style. I currently using ARC7. previously I use Klite and Ktour. Klite is similiar to Arc7 but the feel and power is not effective as ARC7. only my personla feel. Cheers

Thanks for the replies!I keep hearing about this Panda Power on the forum...the Trinity 2 sounds promising. Is there one I can try out in Vancouver, Canada? And stock not yet available till end of Dec 2009?

The only Panda dealer is MJstrings which is located in Ontario, so no luck for tryouts in Vancouver I think :(

The stock should arrive sometime in Canada at X'mas I believe.

I don't have a trinity 2 right now so can't help you out there... I do have ultra 1, 2, trinity 1 and prototypes from Mr Panda though... But trinity is probably a good choice as the Ultra's are quite stiff...

the best whippy racket i can think of is the SOTX woven 3 and it also packs a punch on smashes yet still has amazing defence also all of the LG (super light) range are very whippy light weight rackets
