Congratulations! Looks like we dominate in South-East Asia. 6 out of 7 golds is great.

It would be interesting to see if anyone can stop either Ratchanok or Tai Tzu Ying from nailing the WJC WS title next year.

Why Tan Kian Meng instead of Goh Giap Chin though? but not so bad already I guess.
07-18-2010, 10:28 AM #198
we only won 4 silver in ajc 2010
and 1 gold and 1 silver in wjc 2010
not that strong though
in this tournament
the only name i can recall is the erickson(son of some big name in ina, right?)lost to philipines player in semi final.
loh wei sheng is not here
zulfadli is not here
goh giap chin is not here
aziryn is not here
lim yu sheng neither
maybe is because sun chen hua want to give the younger player experience
only lai pei jing is 18
other is 17 or 16
tan kian meng is 16
chow/lee also 16

Kian Meng’s defeat prevents Malaysia making clean sweep
Kian Meng is only 16 and he did give a good fight against the older and more fancied Wisnu (who is 18-years-old). Except for Ee Yi-Nelson, the boys’ team comprised younger players from the BJSS,” he said. “There is depth in junior talent and we have to take their game to a higher level when they move up into the back-up squad.”
Kim Tho added that Malaysia would have made a grand sweep if they had fielded Asian junior runner-up Loh Wei Sheng or Mohd Azriyn Ayob.
In fact, Zulfadli Zulkifli would also have made a difference but he chose to give the championships a skip.
”We did the right thing to try out our younger group of players and they certainly gained experience here,” said Kim Tho.
