    .
    Greetings,

Heard that Wang Chen is retiring from Badminton tournaments.

Just 2 years' ago, in 2007, when Wang Chen turned 30, I thought she would retire at the end of that year. But she continued to participate in tournaments. And surprisingly, she was still playing well (worldwide) against many players much younger than her. With her love for Badminton, I felt so happy for her. :):):)

During 2009, Wang Chen participated in more than 12 tournaments (my guess). And also by the end of 2009, she is ranked 11th in the world.

Let us congratulate Wang Chen for providing us BCers with so much joy in watching her play over the so many years she has contributed to Badminton.

    Cheers... chris-ccc
    :):):)

Sorry, I thought Hong Kong is now part of China. If you don't agree, perhaps we can ask admin/moderators to move this thread.

Whoa! Wang Chen is 33?! I thought she was early 20's!

I'm sure she will make excellent coach. And Rahayu will be there to support .... as assistant coach? ;)

Maybe she want to concentrate in starting a family. Yes thanks for the memories in the badminton world. Certainly enjoy her game, brief match play with her and encounter with her off court. Cool calm and collected. Will surely miss her play competitively.
