I haven't watched the video (work blocked youtube :p) but I am guessing that it was the At700 since this was a couple years back right?

This was in September 2006 at the Madrid World Championships.
Taufik was playing against Ng Wei - this was the first match for both.

I'm not sure about this but I think Taufik was using a Nanospeed racquet.
I don't think he was using the Armortec 700 back then.

Taufik dont use Nanospeed, does he ? My guess is that he should be using the Armortec 900 Technique. Definitely not Arc Saber 10 yet.

no, he was definitely using AT 700...taufik has been using this racket since 2004 (all england, thomas cup, OG, i think sudirman cup 03 as well) he has nvr used nanospeed rackets...not on tourneys at least (as far as i know :p ) this is the year when he won the asian games in which he was also using AT 700...

These pro's are stringing their racquets to 35 lb. I wonder if they use one with 20 lb, how fast it will be? Less tension == more power?

Not necessarily, it depends on the swingstyle I think.

    Pretty much correct..

..should be the AT700. And it's the longest used Yonex racket by Taufik.
As far as i recall, he has used the MP99, AT700, AT900T&P and recently the ArcSaber Z-Slash (maybe a couple others in between)..

    More here:
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2306
..in Taufik's case, he strung the tension higher for more control..

Have a closer look at the racquet in the 2006 video.
    Is the racquet he's using a Yonex Armortec 700 ? :(

yup...hands down AT700 mate :D i happen to have the same racket which is why its very easy for me to identify it ;)

yeah he used mp99 for a very short period of time in 2002-2003. before that he used mp88 and indeed AT700 is the longest used racket by taufik...i think AT700 gives taufik more charisma (more manly than AT900 technique, which is why i think he was playing really badly during that period with AT900technique lol) and won so many titles with the AT700 :D including WC and OG

i believe he only used the ArcSaber Z-Slash for a couple of matches during japan open, no?

I think Taufik should stick to his winning racket armotec 700 like Lin dan used to before switching to Li ning. If taufik wan to switch , he should switch to armotec 700 2rd generation , at least something similar...
