Ok, this doesnt sound much of an injury but: I played badminton last friday and got a pretty big blister, i still have blister today and its been a week, is it natural for a blister to last this long. p.s, i got a blister before in the same spot but it healed in like 3-4 days
How I understand it, you get blisters if there is too much friction and moisture. That being said, I can suggest from cheapest to most expensive: 1) Tighten your shoes tighter 2) Buy thicker socks 2) Put anti-moisture powder on your feet before playing 3) Buy better shoes 3) Buy shoes with closer to your size. If a shoe is too big, your feet moves around more causing friction. Hope this helps.
who said it was on my feet, sorry guys but i forgot to mention its on my index finger, maybe im gripping it too hard?
gripping too hard would be the primary cause. put a band aid on it to prevent friction when playing and take it off when you're not playing.
I got a blister on my thumb once because the grip I was using was so worn out it rubbed my finger almost like sand paper
while u wait to heal, think through your gripping and stroke. If u can't change it, maybe change the overgrip to those thick foamy type.
