Newbie Looking for Penang Groups

Hey guys...

I'm looking for a badminton group to play with. I'm a newbie which makes it hard for me to find a group to learn with. Only 3 months in.

Also looking to find a coach (hopefully not too expensive) and get my basics right. Better start with the right methods than to perfect wrong methods.

Anyway, if anyone has any good ideas, please let me know. I'm located in Northern Penang Island, which is Pulau Tikus, Tanjung Tokong, Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi area.

Hi guys. I'm located in Tanjung Bungah and our beginner's group is running out of regular members.

Session times : Tuesdays 9pm - 11pm.
Location : Poay Wah Primary School, Tanjung Bungah.

2 hours per session, feather shuttles (RCL Tourny grade) included.

Per session : RM5.00
Per month (4/5 sessions) : RM15.00

Currently, we've downgraded the court bookings to 2 hours from 9pm to 11pm...but we can upgrade again should we have enough people. Minimum 10.

We're not in it to make money, but to play casually...just for fun.

Court surface : Concrete
Court fees per hour : RM7
Group fees per hour: RM6
Shuttles : RM46 per dozen
Average usage per month : 2 tubes (24 shuttles)

Based on 2 hours. We've calculated our cost to be between RM140 - RM160 per month as some months have 5 Tuesdays. So, at RM15 per member, we'll be needing about 10 members to cover the average. If we can find more members, we'll increase the hours to 3 hours per session.

Normally we play doubles, we have 1 competition player in our group, but the rest of us are just beginners and playing to sweat.

For those who are familiar with the area, members currently set the time at 9pm to 11pm...so, everyone should be there on time.
