hmm.... u seem to know all the lots

Daphne left BAM but she is still playing. good for her.

there are only 6 women singles in the national and back up group.Latest news heard that the group is now without their coach (Teu). No coach
    have been appointed yet.

A friend of mine also said that Ng Hui Lin and Ng Hui Ern enrolled for higher learning since last year while Lydia have decided to continue with her studies this year.

Amelia double player have left BAM to further her studies in Sabah.

For the mens doubles Tan Bin Shen have left too but still play- thats is what have been reported.

 You mean Tey/Teh SB? The plump(no offense) chinese guy who like to gesture2 when he give instruction?

Yeah, NHL said a couple of times she's studying at HELP.

6 WS - I suppose you didnt count in WMC. Limsy's list got 6 in back-up, + WMC is 7 total.

Ehem....TBS left end of 2008 already. Now partner Gan Teck Chai, sponsored by..... Aspacs, it was in the media.

Oh, Julia Wong also studying, during the recovery time at least, now not sure.

ha..ha.. yes. coach teu has been assigned to Misbun to help Chong Wei and Mew Choo.

there is only 6 girls now. Stephanie also left for studies. She left the same time as Ooi Swee Wenn.

More and more girls are leaving to further their studies and BAM is not going to do something abt it there will be more to come.

With the coming Uber Cup in May- the girls are without a coach according to my sources. can sense some frustration in the girls team now.Wonder what happened that they transfer coach Teu/Teh without a replacement.

Stephanie Shalini's name is still in the draw for MO 2010(under WS qualifying), that's why we thought she's still in.

Rashid cannot coach the WS for now meh? MS back up is under Hendrawan already, except for CKB.

Unfortunately, AAA has decided to leave

    .
When Amelia Alicia Anscelly partnering with Hoon Thien How defeated the Olympic XD Champions, Lee Yong Dae and Lee Hyo Jung of KOR, at the 2009 Chinese Taipei Open, stunning the world , I thought AAA/HTH would be MAS up-and-coming XD pair.

Unfortunately, AAA has decided to leave. :crying::crying::crying:

Rashid wants new recruits to spur second stringers

    http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/1/7/sports/5424653&sec=sports

And national singles chief coach Rashid Sidek is hoping that their presence would keep the other second stringers – Tan Chun Seang, Chong Wei Feng, Liew Daren and Mohd Arif Abdul Latif – on their toes.

    of course
they are good enough to kick some of the senior off their chair;)

Thomas Cup a test of Hendrawan's calibre

    http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/led_ljefwl_/Article/index_html

"Hafiz is the biggest hope as he can provide support for Chong Wei but I'm still not satisfied with his progress. He needs to do better in order to be ready for the Thomas Cup challenge while the rest are still lagging," said Hendrawan.
"I will reduce the target group for the Thomas Cup to four or five players after the Korea Open next week and the Malaysia Open (Jan 19-24). There will be specific focus on the selected players until the Thomas Cup.

this mean we will see some good tough fight in the qualify round;)

Aiyoo this Jason. Senior means those senior to Iskandar & Syawal, not in senior batch. Means in 1 or 2 yrs time, if Iskandar continue to improve, he can beat some of those in current back-up - he can one.;)

    My personal opinion

All are average shuttlers. Many will not make the step up. I will eat humble pie if those in bold (black) can win one SS title (outside of Malaysia).

Of the entire lot, I think Mak/Tan are decent though I feel they dont have the height advantage.

I've said many times the future looks bleak when Dato retires or starts to go downhill.

Special arrangement to accommodate Hui Lin’s juggling act

    http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/1/11/sports/5446710&sec=sports

“My sister is also pursuing her studies and this arrangement (to pair up with her) will be ideal. It will be unfair if I were to partner others who are doing full-time training (twice a day),” said Hui Lin, who is doing her A-Levels at a local college here.

    well
is sad that with the insecure future, player start to study -> hence the training was reduced:(

No switch or swap for doubles players

    http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/1/11/sports/5446765&sec=sports

“All pairs will be playing together on a regular basis. I will not change unless there is an injury or if some one drops out,” said Rexy.
Meanwhile, Rexy confirmed that women doubles shuttler Amelia Anscelly had quit the team while Ong Boon Hui did not join the national team after completing her Form Five studies at the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS).
National back-up shuttler Khoo Chung Chiat has decided to leave the team and become an independent player this year.

    yes,like what i guess,star writer do read bc:eek:
    must speak carefully in future

    :p

Chance for back-up shuttlers to shine

    http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/20100111082742/Article/index_html

THE national back-up shuttlers will have to come up with respectable performances in the Korea Open which begins in Seoul tomorrow as it is one of two tournaments which will determine their fortunes for the rest of the year. Chong Wei Feng is the only back-up player who has made the main draw while Liew Daren, Tan Chun Seang and Arif Latif will be playing in the qualifying event which takes place tomorrow.
