Why are my laces always long?

    I've bought two badminton shoes so far, and they fit just right, MAYBE just a little big like 1/4 an inch or so. So when I put them on, the laces are so long, double knotting is a must, and they look like giant bunny ear laces almost touching the ground. Is this cause I should get a half size down, or are badminton shoes really like this?

    If you have skinny feet then just buy a shorter length laces.
