Does anyone out there use Ashaway Grip Powder (or any other grip powder), and if so, how good is it? I'm having trouble holding onto my Karakal/Pointfore PU grips at the moment and I don't get on with towel grips at all, so grip powder might be a solution.

Any other potential solutions would be appreciated was well.

    Hi,

I use Ashaway grop powder, infact i carru two bottles of the stuff in my bag. It is kind of like a small, gritty powder that you apply to your hands and grip. i find it very useful, it takes away the sweat almost immediately, it does smell like cheesy feet though :). But it is very good.
I used to use Physio Sport Grip, that liquid stuff that you rub together and it dries. Absolute crap, so i wouldnt reccommed that :)

Cheers Matt - Do you get yours from Centralsports? I look forward to smelling cheesy every time I play :D

Does anyone know what the stuff is that Kim Dong Moon uses? It seems to be a sticky liquid type substance.

I have sweaty hands and I've tried a variety of things

I used to use hand conditioner powder like ten-pin bowlers use (because I had some left over from my bowling days)

then I tried that Physio-Sport Grip liquid which I thought was good but it didn't last very long and the bottle always got gunked up.

then I used talcum powder for a bit while I was looking for something else. this was probably the least effective of all.

then I switched to a towelling grip which helped

then I found gymnastics / weightlifting chalk
    excellent
check out www.gymnasticexpress.co.uk and look for Grippy Chalk blocks
