I don't think this kind of breakage, the first one of this type I have ever seen, can possibly be construed as accidental damage, so as long as you haven't strung it at 45 lbs or something then the warranty should really be honoured if it hasn't expired.
OMG that is strung wrong !!!!!!!!! too many cross on the top !!!!! i don't think yonex will warrent it . its the stringer fault !!!! there is two extra cross
Ouch that must be painful. Blindfury, is it the frame that gave way or the grommet was protecting the frame?
Your looking at the picture the wrong way. Where it says 'Carbon NanoTube' thats not the head of the racket, that is the left side of the frame (main strings not the cross). The rip is in grommet location A15 by the last main string. I wonder how that happen?!! I've only seen this once on a Prince racket and the stringer was at fault because he tried to increase tension on the last main by too much (by guessing )
If its within the warranty period, send it back. If the tension is 25lb, then that should not have happened!
