I am planning to get NIKON D5000, is this a good camera for sports photography purposes, badminton in particular? Thank you in advance for your reply!
not a bad dSLR for badminton/sports. you need fast and fast AF lens. D5k still acceptable at iso1600.
In addition to.. ..drifit's 5-star approval of the camera and lens suggestion, please have a quick (or long) browse at these 2 other related threads: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41195 http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63317 Enjoy your new tech toy
I tried both the D5K and the D90 back when I bought the D90 (Mid 2009). While both had similar image quality, I opted for the D90. I really like handling the D90 while the D5K was on the light side.
