Does anyone have any experience with the brand new Yonex CYBER NATURAL 100 string? I'm about to buy a new string from Yonex for my racquet and I'd like to buy the best one available...

    Sorry :p

But how does the CBG100 compare to the BG85? What are the big differences and which one is suited better for an amateur badminton player like myself?

Somebody might be able to answer that question

Nobody can answer that question except yourself.

How about you try both strings and then put up your assessment for us :)
    That way we all benefit.
If you say that CBG is really expensive, well, all strings have a finite lifetime when playing badminton. Would it do much harm to try it out? After all, it sounds like you are willing to spend the money on CBG100 anyway if somebody recomends it.

BG 85 comparison with CBG 100

the strings on the CBG 100 feel slighty more solid feel than that of the bg 85. both strings are good however i feel that the cbg is a more of a all round string capable for both hard hitters and control players. The cbg 100 is holding up fine tension wise. BG 85 is good when you first have the strings done but it loses its tension with a couple of weeks of playing.

I'm a doubles player and I've tried both the CBG 100 and BG88Ti recently on an MP88 3U. Although the CBG 100 turns out to be very precise in placement shots and provides good feel for net and drop shots, it has lasted only for approximately 24 hours of play, IOW US$1/hour.

I've restrung with BG88Ti last week and I must admit that I prefer it's feel so far. Smashes are more explosive, smash returns feel like they seek the top of the net on their own and net and drop shots also have a superior feel.

The only downside of BG88Ti is that it tends to sound like a guitar on soft and cut shots ;-)

    Cheers,

    Mike

I have tried 3 sets, 2 in the same frame at 26 and 25, they both snapped (on mishit, I may add). Total session - less than 30 mins.
    Excellent feel but very expensive

feeling based on your comment above seem so-so without any WOW factor even after paying for high price..
