But is she having an ankle problem or a chest problem? Because we also saw her holding her chest like having difficulty breathing.

She definitely won my heart with the way she played and composed herself even in pain.
The Chinese feels threatened. I hope she will recover well from the ankle injury. Good thing it is not a bad one.

After the MO2010, although the Chinese WS team had lost their dominance, I am sure they will come back even stronger for the Uber Cup.

Does Bae Youn Joo have heart problem before? If yes, I think Korea
coach should be more persistent to ask her player to quit the match
for player's protection. It is pretty pointless to have both coaches walked out of court and let a youngster suffer alone on court.

It was quite a shame she had to leave prematurely...thought she was playing as well as WX; was it really some cardiac condition? she could have some arrthymia and collapsed if she continued...

    Default Bae Youn Joo

This girl needs her own thread!
Making some steady progress, but really have to bring down the great Wangs of China in order to win Gold at OG2012. THe Olympics might have come too early for her. If it was within the next two years, she might have had more of a chance.
    What do people think?

i really like Bae Youn Joo... unfortunately, she hasn't overcome her injury in the past 1 to 2 years...

she can't receive drop shot (especially backhand)..

she had so much trouble as WSX has a pretty tight and deceptive dropshot. she is always late and had to reach for it and resulting in a lot of opportunities for WSX

    I find this quite fascinating.
BYJ has beaten WX and WYH previously, but always seem to find WSX a stumbling block.
Really goes to show that certain playing styles are ideal at countering another specific style, but may struggle against other styles.
Yet we seem to to see less of this in the men's events.

    she's at my age.
I think I have a crush on her when I saw her game first time.
She seems quite emotional and perky on the court, which I like to see more.
    She gotta use more backhand
