I am planning on booking badminton courts around York Region, mostly around Markham at elementary and high schools. Would anybody be interested in sharing some courts?

Season starts Fall though. I would like to play 3-4 times a week except booking school courts start March, so I need some people to back me up a little.

I'd be interested, depending on costs and time
I'm looking for a place to play regularly with intermediate level players
most interested in Saturday afternoon/early parts of the evening
badmintown plays a bit too late for my taste (7-10 is really late)
and will this be training style or just free play??

This will be freeplay - this doesn't mean you can have kids running around.
    Prices are estimated at:
    3 courts
18 people share the gym. (I'm looking towards having 24 "members" to share the 2 days I have booked)
    20$ "membership"
around 110$ per "session" (for each day) (eg. you want to play both wednesday and Friday = 20+100+100)
there will be approximately 34/35 weeks (no holidays)
    6-8pm
Avg. cost ends up being around 2$ an hour.

I have Wednesday and Friday booked.
    Don Cousens Public Elementary School
Am looking to book a Monday.

This is not for profit, just sharing costs.

I am a university student who goes to UT...if that makes any difference.
Apparently some people hate paying with students...

This is for REC/semi-competitive players...we don't need super pros dominating the place. :)

    Thank you,

    Brian

Around BurOak and Major Mac. The flooring is pretty nice. A type of laminated wood. I have no problem with gripping, it's clean. The courts are standard length, I think the width was around half a foot longer but they could be standard. Like all elementary school gyms, the walls are a little closer than desirable.

lols, bur oak and major mac. I made a big mistake...well here's the address
    315 Mingay Ave
    Markham, ON L6E 1T5

I'll keep you guys posted. I may be able to reduce the fee if I get the 18 players per day. the highest will be 90 per session. May be reduced to 70 if i get members.

    Thanks.

Yonex plastics are provided but many players are more than welcome to play with the real deal =). This year, it's been mostly plastic on 2 courts and another court with shared feathers. We play with aeroplane red/black, as 20/30.

I have booked the courts for Tuesday and Fridays. People have expressed enough interest. Nobody has confirmed their spots. I'm sure they will fill up very quickly. Feel free to come take a look at the gyms on Tuesday afternoon or Thursday, as of now, most are high school students and parents playing. Very inviting environment, not too competitive. In order to confirm and save a spot, I would need a 20$ deposit per person. I am also willing to rent the courts out at around 10$ an hour for the rest of the season, (33-36 times) so ($600) you can have a court all to yourself. After I get all the names, I will divide the costs evenly between everyone. (right now, I think it'll cost around 90 all including mavis shuttlecocks.) Word of warning, don't expect OBA C or higher people to be playing.

Wow....I thought this not for profit. This is expensive for $90 for 2 hrs 1 session.
Non-profit rental @ York district school board is only $2.25 or $365 for single gym elementary. This is business....lol

Good luck with that. That's what they're charging me and I'm just dividing up the costs. Would you care to show how you got it to a low rental cost? 90/35 times is avging to 2.60 dollars...it's not much different from your 2.25.
