Hello everyone, I'm new here. I was reading a lot of stuff here on this webpage and I was wondering if you guys could give me an opinion. I have two rackets, a carlton fireblade palyama and a carlton powerblade carbon tt. The powerblade is strung with a ZyMax 67 at 19lbs, and the fireblade still has the factory strings. I am about to re-string my fireblade and maybe the powerblade as well... I have a very high arm/swing speed because I used to be a baseball player. I would really appreciate it if you could recommend what kind of string to use and to what tension... Thanks in Advance Leontje
Oh, I might need to add: I have a pretty good backhand and a very powerful smash, I just need some more control for the drop shots and netshots.
What effect will this have? I am not sure it is 19lbs though... I live in The Netherlands and we use kg... Its 9,5kg...
What everyone else said. Going with higher tension will give you more control. Don't go too high to start with though, as you may not like the feel of extremely high tension. As cooler said, 23-24 pounds is probably the best place to start.
