Hey Guys,

I've been thinking of replacing my NS9900 to the 8DX with a lower tension, say 20LB. I play doubles only, do you think it would be better than NS9900? which I found hard to generate power and lacked feedback with 22LB of tension.

I don't want the tension to be higher than 22LB, as I recently suffered from tennis elbow but managed to recover from it last year. From what I've reading so far is that, 8DX shaft it's not very stiff but stiff, which is what I want to have, as ultra stiff/very stiff shaft rackets puts too much strain on my elbow, strung anything above 22LB tension.

I read in Paul's review, in which he mentiond it's 'easier to generate power with in than Z Slash', which is exactly what I want in a racket without too much effort or taming it.

@London_Player: i suggest you arc7, maybe its not flashy but given your situation i think arc7 will suit you better. its medium flex, and proven by Gao Ling, Hendra Setiawan, Lee Yong Dae and others as good doubles racket and very good at net.
of course best way to find it you should try both.

i agree with fuyu2010. the Arc7 is very very good at the net. i absolutely love the touches i can get at the net with it. too bad i have broken 2 and will go for the Arc8DX next.

Very much so. I love it for both double and singles. But I have only seen pro doubles players use it.. No pro single players.. My guess is they use ARC10

Yup. I use mine with bg80 and bg85 and they give it a perfect touch and feel up at the net.
IMO, it's almost like Yonex forgot to give it some negative sides

Don't string with tension that low. My wife started playing a year ago, and her favourite tension is @ 25 #s with NGY98. Most of the racquets I'm stringing is >22 #s, even for the seniors.
