It was only 5 months old when this happened. No racquet clash or anything. Must've been because we were playing in a gym with AC on in winter.
Tried to RMA with Yonex but they denied it. Was bought from Sports Marketing in TH.

btw, if its not CD coded, Yonex Canada is not responsible. you could try to ship it to thailand though.

Did it die during a Super Smash mishit or something? The damage looks incredible....

Wow, you must be super strong, able to flex the Extra stiff Shaft of NS9000X and then some......Tis the first time I saw a broken shaft, I thought usually the frame is more vulnerable.

The only way to warranty it is to ask the reseller to do it for you. Contact the store you bought it from and ask them.

Yea it was from a smash. Just one day the head decided to pop off and fly into the net (thank god not hitting the opponent). Not sure how I could've broken it though. My friend thinks i'm crazy that I feel the racquet bending sometimes when I smash. Maybe I do have some super wrist?
I actually couldn't contact the reseller about it. She spoke thai and english for money but that was it.

How much tension was the string on the racquet during the breakage? It sounds like the racquet could have been damaged prior to the failure or it could also have been a manufacturing defect (too little material at the connection point between the frame head and shaft perhaps?).

Tough luck with your seller though.

Unless the racket was damaged in some way, its really hard to imagine someone breaking a racket like that. Even if you're really strong, I still find it really hard to imagine.

This racket look fake man, cause the shaft is hollow from the photo. I also ever had a fake racket and it snap on the shaft too, and yes the shaft is hollow like this. so that's probably why yonex not honour the warranty.

Here ya go. Not sure if that's enough. The cone had two flat sides with 2 rails on either side.

I'm not sure if the shafts on genuine rackets are hollow or not but just because your counterfeit was hollow, does that automatically mean that all rackets with hollow shafts are counterfeit?

Rackets should have a plastic tube in the shaft which are used for modelling the shape of the racket. Not sure where mine is but I do see the T joint up into the frame. Also there's some foam stuff in the frame.

can you please take pics of the broken shaft with Macro mode on the camera so that it can give more detail, as from what i can see in the 2nd pics is blurry.

As about the pics from badmintoncn.com, that one is not so hollow compare to my broken shaft before.
