I've been researching on BC, and it seems that for the most part everyone enjoys Aeroplane and RSL. I'm trying to organize my school badminton team to all pitch in to buy a bulk of high quality shuttlecocks so that we won't have to pay more individually.

Does anyone know a good site where we can buy the cheapest bulks (preferably 50+ tubes) of Aeroplane/RSL? Free-shipping and no-tax (we live in California) would also be really helpful! Also, feel free to recommend any other high quality inexpensive shuttlecocks that we may purchase in bulks.

I'm trying to stay away from Yonex shuttlecocks because even in bulks, they tend to be too expensive for its quality.

    Thanks in advance!

Try Califormia craiglist. I made a detour in the US last year just to pick up 50 tubes of red aeroplane at 15 each from a guy named Derek.

Where is a good website to purchase these in bulks?

Wow...nice. Were you really just lucky though...?

Thanks! I'll keep a note on their prices! Do you know any other good sites?

Oh and crimson rain, what high school are you buying for? If you DO decide to go Aeroplane, especially EG grade (which I totally believe is worth the few extra dollars simply for increased durability, especially once the shuttles are steamed/hydrated) let me know and I'll chip in for some too, and come by to pick my share up some random weekend. Those are the best prices I've found for Aeroplane Black in the US, unless you can do pickup from San Diego Badminton. I've done some lengthy lookin too.

I'm planning on purchasing them for Prospect High School in Saratoga. I think I've actually found a better place to purchase them without really having to buy them in large bulks: http://www.sohubuy.com/slist.asp?factory=aeroplane

The prices for EG are around $20/tube in a bulk of 9. But the G and SG grades are definitely one of the cheapest around (G=12.6/tube, SG=17/tube). I don't know how much shipping would cost (you'd have to e-mail the owner), but as long as I know they are legit and don't have to pay tax, I'm happy :]

Oh, they also seem to have pretty cheap RSL birds.

FYI 1130 are the pointed tip feathers on the shuttles, and 1101 are the rounded tip feathers. I am quite familiar with sohubuy.com (the english version of the original e78.com.hk). The G grade is quite cheap indeed. I have friends from Mount Pleasant and Independence from around there.

Oh, what's the major difference between rounded tip and pointed tip feathers? Searching yielded no good results :[

I don't know of any real major difference, otherwise they most likely would be different prices. I like the pointed tip better because they're just what I'm used to.

Is RSL Classic Tourney superior than Aeroplane Black? RSL No. 1 > Aeroplane Red? RSL No. 2 > Aeroplane Green?

I've heard very mixed reviews on RSL, some say Classic is best, others say No. 1 is best. Some say its top grade is high quality, better than Aeroplane, others say it sucks and isn't even comparable to Aerosensa 30. But Aeroplane has been consistently rated high, on par with Yonex's high grades.

I have RSL Classic and No.1, as well as Aeroplane Black and Red. In general, if you can get Aeroplane, then try avoid RSL Classic, the head is not as strong as Aeroplane.

    For aeroplane,

    www.shuttlecombo.com
    www.badmintonian.com
    www.shuttles.com
    www.shuttlecock101.com

They offer basically same bulk price if you go for 50 tubes.

RSL Classic and No 1 is certainly good, however, when you compare with Aeroplane, they are not on par.

Don't know how much shipping is, but I don't expect final price will be any cheaper than buying within US online.

I think the best place I've looked at so far is shuttlecock101.com
The people there are also very nice :]

Oh, and is EG1130 that much better than SG1130? EG1130 is just slightly more expensive...but I was wondering if it is that much more durable or performs that much better worth the extra dollar-ish.

Go for EG1130, worth the extra, no doubt.

Hey CrimsonRain, go take a look at this CL ad:
    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/spo/1589053686.html

If you email the address included with the ad:
    sale-9psgp-1589053686@craigslist.org

They will tell you to order it from shuttlecock101.com and they will honor the ad. Free shipping plus $18 a tube for california buyers (providing you order more than 10 tubes) make this a deal better than anything I've ever seen. How many tubes were you looking at purchasing? Because a carton of 50 is the best deal on their website, and I was looking to buy that buy I can only afford 10 tubes right now, so if you were to buy say 40 or 90, I were to buy 10, we could definitely save money together.

The ad is by the people from shuttlecock101? How odd o__O.

And unfortunately...I can only order about ~25 >< I'm still a student...can't afford that much T-T. Oh, and jw, do you go to UC Davis, or do you just live in Davis...?

I go to UCD. How fast do you need the shuttles? If we buy more than 25, we save 50 more cents per tube. Maybe we can work something out? I'm paying with credit card though, need to build my credit. Are you paying with cash/check/debit?
