Borked my ArcSaber Z-Slash
Broke/Cracked my Z-Slash yesterday after having it for only 3 months

Cost me AUD$250 + restrung it 4 times (NBG95, NBG98, BG66M, BG80).
Most recent restring was day before i broke it lol!
About 2-3 weeks ago i hit the ground and it scratched.
Yesterday, mis-hit the shuttle and it must have hit the same or about the same spot as the scratch and caved in. (Tension i string at about 25-26lbs).
Considering getting another Z-Slash or maybe A900T. But for some reason i play alot better with my spare Fleet racket than i did with the Z-Slash. Guess it is the player and not the racket...Maybe was too cautious as well...
Oh well...RIP

then why not just play with your fleet racquet... if you felt more comfortable with it.

That's true, that was me being egotistic when i first bought the Z-Slash (must have the best and newest on the market).
But like i said, what i learnt is it is more about the player than the racket. Think i'll stay away from top branded rackets for a while.
In the hunt for something like the Fleet i have =D

It's no suprize, it always mainly been the player, not the racket.

Upload the pics man.... You also may want to try to claim warranty from Yonex Australia. I had my ZS cracked, and I claim for warranty and I get the replacement soon.

Mine is not break, it just cracked in the grommets.. see the pics. I bring my racket to the store I bought it and ask them to claim the warranty for me.
I believe this crack is cause by the Design Flaw by Yonex on the grommets where cross and main string are crosses. Even my stringer complaining about the racket design that make it hard to put in the main string after cross string is pull. He usually will had to use a small steel pin to push the strong cross string aside, so that he can put in the main string.
This grommets on ZS design is totally flat, which are made it difficult to string. Since I had NS 9900, the stringer show me the different design on the grommets, which NS 9900 grommets where cross and main string are crosses is not flat. Instead it was design with some space apart ( 1st and 3rd grommet are more to the left, and 2nd and 4 rd grommet are more to the right) which make it easy for stringer to put in the main string after cross are pull. Crap, this design flaw is a disaster waiting to happen to ZS.

Thanks for the info. I guess thats the benefit of buying from a retail store, you can always bring it back. There are only a few store in Sydney that sell high end Yonex rackets, not more than 4 that i know of.
As for your Arc Z, I think it could also caused by your stringer. Perhaps he pulled that area too hard or unvenly. Last time I had NS9000 cracked like that at 3 o'clock position, i asked my stringer to string at 28lbs and he rung me later on (while string the racket) about the crack and asked me should he continue? wkwkwk
