I planned to watch this tournament on Friday night before back to Jakarta on Saturday morning.

My trip to East Kalimantan has been cancelled on last minutes
The man who will I meet has expanded his "New Year" holiday a week more.

No Pelatnas Pratama players or Ulin/Berry, Didit/Seiko, Didit/Yayu, or Riyanto Subagja in the list. Some other serial winners of Kejurnas last year are also absent. Weird.....

Ullin-Berry?!? Ooh, I think they are practicing to play in Seleknas. They will try to enter Pelatnas Pratama. Didit-Seiko as well...

If Riyanto is not playing, then coach Fang must thinks he needs to be trained extra hard to reach an even higher level of play. In order to reach the next level, he has to practice harder for longer time periods, 3 months or more... Anyway, it does not seem too critical for Riyanto to gain more ranking points at this time. :) The logical target for him is to win the Asian Junior Championship [that's coming soon]... then the World Junior Championship.

I suspect Coach Fang Kaixiang is looking for one last glory before he finally retires. This last glory is if one of his last pupils win the WJC. Maybe Riyanto or Vito can fulfill this dream either in 2010 or in 2011... They can give the master his last glory by becoming the best player Under-19 in the whole planet...

MS is a battle between Fauzi Adnan [1], Bandar Sigit Pamungkas [2] and Alamsyah Yunus [3].

MD is quite open. Alvin Iqshandy/Yudha Wiratama [4] have a good chance after they beat Rendra Wijaya/Tri Kusumawardhana today.

WS is dominated by PB Djarum's players. I think it will be an all-Djarum Final tomorrow afternoon.

WD should be won by the top-seed Devi Tika Permatasari/Nadya Melati.

XD will be an interesting battle between 3 of the top 4 seeds. I think Rendra Wijaya/Maria Elfira Christina have a big chance of winning yet another Sirnas title.

Dinar's attacking game is quite impressive and she has a killer instinct rare among INA GS and WS... Most INA gals just play rally rally rally... From my observation, Dinar just lack some net playing weapons... :p

Dinar is 18 this year [I think]... Errr, to be sure, please visit www.pbdjarum.com look for her under PROFIL [that's the Indonesian word for 'profile' :D]...

She was first documented as being 2 years younger than today, but then, around late 2008 or early 2009, the Djarum management found out that her parents 'cheated' in representing her age. So she was promptly moved to her real age... :p She played in the Remaja [U-16] category a few years ago and have won several Sirnas titles as a Remaja. Starting in 2009 she was playing 'fairly' in her 'real' age group... [and naturally struggled due to the abrupt change in competition level] :p

Hanna has good badminton insticts, but she is not yet fully developed. Explosive attacking players such as Dinar can create havoc for her. ;)

As expected, Tri Kusumawhardana/Nadya Melati [1] won the XD title. Meanwhile, Praveen Jordan/Gloria Imanuella Wijaya won their first Sirnas title in the U-19, after beating M. Andrean Permana/Aan Dwi C. 21-7, 21-18. In the U-16, Fajar Kusuma/Fauziah Zahra [4] took the title.

In GS (U-19), Anggia Shitta A. [6] beat Dinar Dyah Ayustine in two tight-sets 21-19, 21-19. In the U-16, Berliyan Sudrajat [9] beat Lya Ersalita [4] in 3-sets.
