Agreed under Team event, they need to use YY, but only on apparels. Rackets are supposed to be of personal feelings.
I think they play better with YY rackets

Kido/Hendra are back with their yonex on thomas cup =). I saw it with my own eyes through TV :P. Anyway, just want to update you guys with the flypower tornado 800, the more I play with it, the more solid it become. Right now it's my current to go racket =). It does not feel too heavy when you swing it and I feel the racket head is fast like AT 800 defensive or 900 technique (but not as fast as those definitely). I used to play with the YY AT 800 DE,900 Tech and Ti-10 before. So far I really like this racket =)

But how come in the Thomas Cup MK-HS were still using Yonex?

Depends on the Yonex contract. As we have noticed the non-Yonex players in the Netherlands team refused to use Yonex racquets and were not selected. I was a little surprised to see Wong Choong Hann be allowed to use his Dunlop as Malaysia is supposed to have the same contract (all yonex from head to toe incl. racquet including all junior players)

Does the paragon sports shop have limited selection of flypower racket or is there wide range for the racket?

Yes, in Thomas Cup Choong Han was also using Asics shoes apart from Dunlop racquet... But I think he is not under the national team's contract because he is independent and was selected for the team based on his ranking. As for junior players, I think only for national team but even then, there are some top junior players sponsored by brands like ProAce, so I'm not so sure... I heard Li-Ning is also trying to break into this Yonex domain and have already approached Lee Chong Wei... This might be some interesting times. Hope our South East Asian brands come up and will soon be able to play on the same level as the big boys...

The range is quite good.... black pearl 07, new super glitter green, warriors 7/8, tornado 800/900 etc. Prices range from S$89.90 to S$99.90 if I recall correctly, inclusive of Li-ning or Yonex string and stringing service. Flypower shoes are also available. How could I resist

Does anybody know what's the difference between Warriors 7 and 8? Any difference between Tornado 700/800/900? The Warriors rackets reminded me of the Chaopai NP728 and the Tornado series have frames like the YY Nanospeed 7000.

I am interested in the Tornado 700 and 900, is there anyone using them. Are they head heavy rackets? How about the flexibility of the shaft? Suitable for doubles????
Thanks guys
