So my Apacs Tantrum 130 International came today. I was really excited, as I'd be using it this Thursday. However, as I was inspecting it for flaws and what-not, about 2mm of the outer coating of the string was split off at one of the top grommets. How much more quickly will this cause the string to break?
depends on the tension it was strung at. I'd say to just play with it and restring it after it breaks.
Tension is 22-24 lbs, at least that's what I selected. I do have a backup so I'll bring that along when I play just in case. I think the biggest challenge would be finding out who restrings badminton racquets in the Philly area. I must say though, aesthetically it's very nice.
I have a 8mm coating tat rubbed off my BG-80 strings on one racquet and it didn't break yet. Now I spotted some more and the string is still holding pretty good. Depends how hard and howlong you play.
i have a question??? my racket is apacs furious 900..what is the best tension i can strung for this racket??? i have a great smash... i used bg66 that can last for 2 weeks only..
