So I tried it

That was for sure thinner than original + Ac102, and that was easier to hold the racquet
Unfortunately the feeling was veryyyy hard...
Perhaps putting any tape or thin overgrip under the AC102 will make it more comfortable

Is LCW using 2 roll of grip to grip his racket? I tried 1 roll of grip on my racket today but found it not very thick though..

On the video Ants shown only one roll

I also faced the prob (post #137)..
I think you could put a tape on the wood

I find it quite comfy

I am now using a hybrid grip, that I have had the wonderful pleasure of inventing
It is a combo of the LD grip and LCW grip, basically you start the way that ants has showed you in the video, and keep twisting, until you get about 2/3 up, where you stop, a good thing about this, is that out of the standard 3 supergraps per pack, you can make 1 grip into between two and three depending on how tight you wrap, how short you finish gripping, and if you are wrapping on top of a original grip or not.
Btw I am using Yellow AC102EXLast edited by LD rules!; 09-10-2010 at 04:08 PM.

Directly on the wood ?
That's not a good method for me as I play doubles

Isn't the point of the method to end up with the sticky part on top?
If you're gonna cut it off, might as well do it the regular way
(saves you a few more inches as well by skipping the starting method
)

Well I like the thickness at the bottom, it's all personal preference, what works for me, might not work for you. I can make two grips out of one, with this.

Don't push it !
lol, grip is grip at the end of the day, maybe it should be PSH rules! Seeing a I have a SW35, or PG rules seeing as I own a pair of SHB91s

What grip size do you use for your LD-LCW grip ?
Dunno how it was for Demolidor, but with my YY G4 I even can't put the grip untill the high of the cone..with a 1/2 overlap !!

I used Gosen grip, pretty sure it's longer than AC402 (this Apacs is about G4 as well) ... normally I can go up much further (didn't stretch it so much at the end this time). Think I continued 50% overlap untill the end, normally when I reach the cone I no longer do 50%. Maybe you can try that if you also did 50% all the way ...
You can create the thick bottom any method, still no point wrapping it this way if you're not going to use the sticky end but I guess it's easy to use when you use your left-over bit without a sticky part at all
.
