CW and TH Grip
Hello,
I wonder what grips using TH and LCW.
I saw a video of Taufik where we could see that his grip was a grip towel to put on.
I also saw this picture:

Uses he always put towel grip?
And which is it? To my knowledge, Yonex does not manufacture. Am I wrong?
And what grip uses LCW?
And finally, how do they put their grip?

The TH towel grip is actually easy to replicate contrary to common believe. Although you will need the thinner towel grip models to make it work.
What you do is that you first use some low density but slightly thick (double sided tape with padding works great) and layer the handle bottom to make it thicker. Then you take the towel grip, and start from the top and grip towards the bottom. As you reach the thick part which you have thicken with the tape, stretch the towel grip until it is horizontal and grip it horizontally at the bottom. Just grip everything you have left at the end and finish horizontally.
LCW uses the standard rubber grap by the way.

wait, you wrap from the cone down? why? Never tried it that way....
Another easy way is to bulk up the buttcap with athletic-tape, gaffa-tape or some left over grip.
Then with towelgrip, just start at the bottom with 80-90% of the towelgrip hanging 'over' the end, and just press it inwards when you're done.

I used to start at the bottom also; the result in two words: total mess. You can't get the neat horizontal overlap at the bottom to bulge up even more either. Just go top down like all the pros have been doing and the result will be neat and classy.

Ohh, wait, I get it, You overlap the towelgrip at the bottom?
I just bulge up the endcap a lot and pull the grip a bit tight, it usually goes well, but sometimes it gets messy indeed.

Lcw uses Ac 103 and Th uses a standard Yonex towel grip.

You didn't have to be such accurate, ants

It's not like anyone one of us in this forum will go forth and duplicate the grip models as used by our favourite players, down to the minor details such as colour, model, method of gripping etc. That's borderline obsession lol
Thanks for such detailed information nonetheless.

Thank you, you seem to know thee in the grips of the best players in the world. Do you know how LCW puts his grip (Blitzzards: For color, I know it's yellow LOL, I need not ask)?
And Taufik, is exactly as we said Blitzzards or differently because of the photo (the second grip, yellow) it looks like he cut cross-shaped bottom.
Sorry for all these questions but unlike Blitzzards, I find it interesting to be the best.

I really don't know what to comment, but don't you think your questions can only be answered by the player himself?
You're just fortunate that ants is friends with the top players that you're "interested in". Gripping a racquet handle is a very personal thing and a lot of us players have each of our own preferences which don't necessarily work for others even within our own close community.
I have already stated how usually the top players grip the bulge with towel grips. If you don't try it you'll never know that it works; so go forth and do it if you know what I mean.

This is not just an interest and I do not see what's wrong to do such as LCW.
