The overgrip is applied straight on wood with electrical tape or have to add replacement grip first ?

Here's my attempt. No athletic tape or excess grip underneath, but 50% overlaps to double the grip thickness. Just about perfect for me on a G4 sized grip. I had it done with excess grip at the bottom too, and liked it even more. Better feedback of the racket handle as I tend to grip the racket towards the bottom.
Now the balance point on the Arcsaber 10 is around 320mm and 330mm on an Armortec 500…

first attempt

it seems to be thicker on 1 side of the bottom but still it feels good..just by holding it and swinging it around
off topic: it's my first time using Victor Nanotec replacement grip. the glue at the bottom seems to be less sticky compared to Karakal PU grips

Same question, one more time since I didn't get any reply on this matter. Sorry. The overgrip is applied straight on wood with electrical tape or do I need to put on a replacement grip first ? Does LCW apply a replacement grip before adding the overgrip ?

Okay, got it. Straight on wood. Thanks.

isn't that up to your preference? if you prefer it to be thicker, you can apply something on the wood first to make it thicker?
i prefer to add a layer of electrical tape on the wood before applying the grip. this is to ease the process of removing the grip without leaving a lot of residue.
regarding the LCW style, wait for other people's answer. i have no idea neither do i really care

Ziggy your pic looks off topic...is it LCW style ?

The gripping style we are talking about here is for over grip only
And the main tip is to put the over grip reverse

erm..i used the same concept

i did add the extra piece of grip at the bottom
and i start gripping using the broad end, not the "sharpie" end
i followed Demolidor's video
but because i'm using a replacement grip, the bulge at the bottom didn't seemed to be that big
it does feel good thoughLast edited by ziggy87; 10-06-2010 at 11:53 AM.

lol... thanks mate... its a bit loose due to heavy use (due to need a new grip)
Always had the 3/4 grip.. adding the bulge at the end just made it more comfortable.

That bulge the end there also from overgrip?
why are u wrapping the end of the grip taufik style but above that lin dan style?

no, its not from overgrip.. and as i said, i have always wrapped up 3/4... and towelling at the bottom is to stop the plastic end rubbing onto my hand
