I ordered the Arc100 Ltd very late and was surprised to even get it at all. Wasn't even sure they may come out an SP version. So this is a pleasant surprise when I got a call it was ready for collection. I was also told that this particular shop was the first place to received it and they were allocated only 3 pieces. Well, I got the first piece. Got it strung with BG66, the recommended string, at 30 lbs. This is in 3UG5 and overall weight is 105 gms strung and with Yonex black towel grip. The bag was available too but the quality was a bit of a letdown. I passed on it which make it more compelling for me to take the Arc8DX as well as it came with the same shipment. This is one gorgeous racquet. One of the nicest racquets I own. The Arc8DX is nice but not as pretty as the Arc100. A few pictures for potential buyers to browse .
ArcSaber 8DX This is also in 3UG5 strung with JP strings BG68Ti at 30 lbs. Overall weight strung with Yonex black towel grip is 107 gms. Like the Arc100 it is even balance but this has the Ultra PEF feature. Both are High Modulus Graphite with CS Carbon Nanotube.
Do you intend to play or just keep these racquets? I would keep the LTD for a year or two before deciding to continue to keep or play.
What do you think? I have already got them strung and of course I am playing with them. If I intend to keep them, I would have left them unstrung .
Well the 8DX is nothing special but the 100 ltd.... I've also got one on order but I don't think I'll play with it. I prefer stiffer rackets but just got it because of the 100th anniversary.
Well since it's SP, just use them. For me, I got the JP and that will be my collector racket. I am also collecting one CD and getting one more or more to use since I use G4. JP only comes in G5.
100 and LTD, I will keep it SP or JP. Strung or un-strung. At least to keep it in tiptop condition for as long as possible.
if only i didn't have to pay for tuition... i'd definitely buy those two rackets sigh... btw, great pics just don't chip the paint! ahha
In this shop where I purchased it, the price of the Arc8Dx is priced the same as Arc-Z, 10, 9, 7. The Arc 100 was priced about 10% higher because of the limited edition. The Arc5 the lowest price amount the lot is priced about 10% below the former group. I got a further discount as I bought 2 racquets at one go and 2 extra towel grips on top of the 2 that I had them on the racquets. Both racquets came dry. Strings were included in the price and I could select any string I want including the JP imported strings. A pity they did not have the BG66 Maxima .
yeah, if include the bg-66 maxima, it would be more special with the sound and all so does that mean that it's factory strung? Aren't it loses tension fast?
Like I said both racquets came dry meaning both unstrung with the plastic wrapping on the handles. Got the phone call, went to the shop, saw the Arc 100 took it. Saw the bag (SP version), thought about it and passed. Pricey and quality is disappointing. My Li-Ning, Gosen, Adidas and Victor bags are much better anytime. Saw the Arc8DX on the rack. Since I am not getting the bag now and I am planning to get the Arc8 anyway, add it in the checkout cart.
Mr. Teo they are limited enough but they will be especially available for you and they are still sitting pretty there . What I was told is every store in Singapore that retails Yonex racquets will be allocated 2, 3 pieces. This store was the first to get them as they made an enquiry with Sunrise management about it because of my request. Sunrise was aware of it but not certain at that time if an SP version would be released.
Ha ha, you joker ! Since they are sitting pretty, I better don't disturb them and let them be ! I am actually more keen on the 8DX because the specs very similar to the Z-Slash and it is warrantied to 26lbs. The Arc100's specs not as interesting as it is based on the Arc7 but that one is definitely a collector's item ! You have so many new toys to play with these few days !!! Does your collection include Victor also ?
I got a Victor Power Waves 12, Carlton Powerblade 9902, Mizuno Luminasonic 7 together with my Li-Ning 'shipment' and I am very eager to try them especially the PW12. That racquet was highly recommended. By the way it doesn't really matter how much each Yonex racquet's tension is warranted these day as they will be able to hold it. I got both of them strung at 30 lbs.
R u sure that Yonex racket can be strung to 30lbs?!! Most of my friends using Armotec series only strung it to about 23~25 already had their frame sunken at 7 and 5 o'clock posion. My Arc Z-slash were only strung to 24lbs for 5~6 times and the frame at 11 and 1 o'clock had sunken. Had sent in for claim and verbally they agree to replace it but haven't get it back yet... :crying: Isn't Yonex doing anything on this??
