If you want a REAL challenge
,but don't mind the additional driving you can visit Reverchon Rec. Center, north of Dallas Downtown. Check out http://www.dallasbadmintonclub.com for additional times and maps. This center probably has the best local players in the area.

hi all, besides all the places mentioned in all the replies, there is also badminton at UTA (University of Texas at Arlington). they play every friday and sunday nights from 7:30pm to 11:00pm. the only stipultaion is that you will need to buy a visitor pass at $5 each time or a yearly membership. quite frankly i think it is fairly expansive if you are not an alumni member. but i do think they have the best set up with steel posts into the ground and tight nets. i used to play in most of the dallas places and have many friends that still do but now i only play at UTA since i live in arlington. for me i am willing to pay the price since i like to play very much.
also a quick note, if you are an intermediate to advance player and wants a serious game, then you may want to stick with dallas crowd.
hope this helps.

We are intermediate players and play at gym of UT southwestern medical center. The address is 5323 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, TX, 75235. The game time is 4:30pm-7:00pm on Saturday. There are two very nice courts here. It cost $5 per visit.

UTA guest pass fee has increased to $8 since the beginning of last year. The level at UTA is beginner to intermediate (a know a few good players play there). However, it's at Marverick Center, UTA Campus, Arlington, TX (pretty far for you, >60 min drive time)

I'll be moving to Dallas at the end of September. Wondering what the quality of play is out there. I also hear the DBC is pretty popular. Was thinking about checking that out. Anyone got info on them?
