hi guys, just wondering if i could use baby powder as talc grip (the stuff that lin dan rubs on his grip to keep the tackiness- i think thats what it's called), would it/does it work? and advantages/disadvantages? any other cheap drug-store replacements for the powder

    Corn Starch

Plain old corn starch is the best and really cheap...buy it in any super market...
Pine resin might also work but is really sticky...buy it dried and then just smash it to a powder....mostly we use it on our shoes to get traction on a slick floor but it might work for towel grip as well...

The corn starch absorbs moisture better than baby powder....mostly used for diaper rash on babies...
It is not flour so it wont make dough...:)
I have not tried the chalk used by gymnast but that might also work...
