    Default visiting Singapore

    Hi,

I am visiting singapore in March, around mar 15 to mar 26 and was wondering about playing badminton there. Will be staying around east side (bedok). How does badminton work in Singapore? I was reading the forums and it seems that its mostly private groups, so I dunno if can just walk up to a group and ask if can join.

My level is intermediate, i play in nz around 3 times a week. I am planning to buy shoes and racket when i am in singapore.

Actually I used to stay in Singapore, but then moved to NZ. But only discovered badminton when in NZ, so never played baddy in Spore before. Standard must be quite high.

Oh sorry but its summer here now, kiwi fruit season is over, if not I will bring some back.

I thought Siglap CC was in Bedok?

Oh in my previous post when I said 'Standard must be quite high', i dont mean my standard. I meant since baddy is more popular in singapore, players there in general are probably much better than players in nz. So it will be interesting to play in Singapore, getting a bit nervous now.

I will have a business trip to Singapore from 25~28 April and would like to buy some Yonex stuff such as apparels, shuttle cocks, grips, supporters, etc. Please kindly advise me shops where I should go to. I will stay at:

    Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel
    392 Havelock Road
    Singapore
    169663
    Singapore

It's great if the shops are nearby but won't matter if they are a bit far away.

    Many thanks.
