    1. not enough media coverage
    2. not enough places to play (at least in the U.S. even though there are a few places to play in LA, it's still very limited)
    3. need rather strict requirements to just play a good game (ie. indoor, good floor, etc...)

other than that i love it!

Some things I dislike (I don't hate badminton!) about badminton:

    1. Many friends not keen to play because of the high level of fitness it requires.

    2. The fact that non-badminton players (In S'pore we call them 'extras') like to walk through the court and disrupt games in the process, with no apology or concern either.

    3. A nice match can turn nasty when a muscle is pulled...

One thing that does both me from time to time is when you have 4 people playing and exactly 3 of them focused, and wanting to playing. The fourth one has the ability to ruin a good game.

    1. I hate it when people think that badminton is an easy sport.
    2. When people say that only old people play badminton.

well, golf can be considered a luxary/rich-man's sport.
badminton is certainly not in that catagory... but by the same token, neither is hockey, and it's expensive too

the short life-span of feather shuttles....... the ridiculous cost of court hire/social play (depending where you are), and the cost of equipment.

lol....... also the fact that its not televised like a lot of other sports (depending where you live)

    Yes me too!

    The extreme costs for everything.

Shuttles in England are about 12GBP+ each tube , court hire 8-10GBP , normally rackets are 100GBP+ - If you buy yonex.

    Endless expenses.

Yeah, that's frustrating. On my long list of badminton pet hates are also:
    • Beginners using high end Yonex rackets but black soled trainers to play in
    • People who have nasty grips and don't bother changing them when they ask me to string their rackets
    • Beginners who say "oh yes, I play at [insert daft tension here]" when it's blatantly something much lower
    • People who say it doesn't matter what racket you play with
    • The staff at a local sports centre who hate me for no apparent reason (I no longer play there so it's not that relevant any more)

There are many more but that'll do for now. Don't get me wrong, I love badminton but there are many things that frustrate me (and I'm sure everyone) about it.

    - Short lifespan of shuttles in general, mostly feather though.
    - Beginners who ask for advice and then just ignore them, dont bother to even try to use them or who corrects me by saying that theyre wrong even though they asked me in the first place and Ive trained for 6 years+ and they havent ever trained under a trainer.
    - Losing

Definitely the accumulating costs. Shuttles, court hire, membership fees (when you need to change sports centres) and the list goes on... I feel sorry for those who have to change their grips and strings so regularly... costs!

Really?? I find it sometimes weird when sometimes a person thinks one racquet will make them miraculously better, and it makes a huge difference. Myself, I lean towards thinking that racquets dont' really matter. What about this belief irks you??

Shuttles. I hate the flight of plastic ones and the durability of feather ones. >_>
I also hate that I hardly get to play FULL COURT singles )=
