    Hi All

Searched the forum for this but couldnt find anything so decided to start a new thread.

I'm a intermediate club-level player and am in the market for a new racket. But it seems that the Yonex rackets are either head-heavy (Armortec & Arcsaber) or head-light (Nanospeed). Aren't there any even balance Yonex rackets anymore, a-la some of the Musclepower rackets??

The Arcsaber stuff tends to be even balance, more or less. You can also try the Nanospeed 9000S, which i remember was "headlight" but felt like it had a good balance to be quick and snappy.

well, like said, the MP's are your best bet. chances are you can still pick up a MP99 somewhere if you are lucky. The ARC7 is also an excellent choice, with the ARC% very close behind. as for ARC8DX, i have no idea, but it seems to be a slightly stiffer and more powerful version of the ARC7, though it may be a bit slower.

Ti10 3rd gen would be another choice for you.

Unfortunately Ti10 isn't available in the UK. Thanks for the suggestion though.

According to the Yonex charts on another thread, both the Arc7 and NS9000 are roughly even balanced, but Arc7 is "hold" while NS9000 is "repulsion"? Whats that mean? I don't think this is the flex because both are medium stiff to extra stiff (as far as I know).

    Anyone?

It's sort of a "feel" thing when you pick up the racquets and play. What really matters is that the feel of ARC7 seems to be more soft when you make contact with the bird. The nanospeed is more like "swing - contact - pow, bird leaves almost instantly"
