I wasn't sure which category to post this under, but since there were other stenciling threads in the String forum, I decided to post it here. I recently got some stencil ink and happily applied the Yonex logo to my AT900P. Unbeknown to me at the time, I smudged ink all over the top of one side of the frame, and now my "Armortec" is all covered in red ink, haha. Anyway, my question is, what are some ways to remove this ink without damaging the racket paint. I was looking up some polyester paint solvent/thinner, but couldn't find anything in non-industrial size. Maybe some fine grain sandpaper would work, but that's risky. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this, or am I going to have to live with an unintentionally painted racket lol. :crying: (I'm glad I didn't try it on my NS9900 first, that'd stand out even more )
I had just experienced it after applying it on my victor rackets all my rackets had red ink after applying it:crying: then i just used a wet cloth to wipe it gently luckly the ink was able to go off...
I'd say the first thing to try is water and mild detergent. If that does not work then check the local hardware store, there are a bunch of products in small packaging like "goo be gone" or "goof off" but be very careful, these will remove almost anything. Dilute them and make sure you wash it off immediately.
Druss is right. The ink is water base. So soap water will do the trick and not damaging the frame. If you have the string off already. Use window cleaner is fine.
Well, I tried water + dish detergent tonight, didn't really work. However, Windex worked great, got most of it off. Used paper towels + water to wash it off quickly after.
