I write with my left hand... but I play badminton with my right hand
I can play with my left hand, but can't develop anywhere near the power from my left arm/shoulder/wrist that I can with my right. I'm just mixed up I guess

Agh.. today, I was playing around with my left hand instead of my usual right hand to play badminton when we were supposed to be 'on rest'.
In the beginning, I couldn't even hit the shuttle but now I can. The footwork and tactics all dissappeared when I played with my left hand. It was like starting badminton all over again, panhandling by the cone. So I think.. tactics and footwork all come when the stroke technique is there.

hmm...how to say...i can play good net shot and front court defence with left hand(can control the strenght easily)...and i serve, receive serve, replying smash, drop with right hand...
i use right hand to write...i usually play with my right hand...but if i am suffering a injury at right hand...i will use left hand to play...it is ok to me...^^...wont affect much but the strenght was weaker...

Is it legal to switch hand during the play
My friend told me that it is against the rule to switch hand during the play.
Anybody knows whether there is such a rule? I lam 95% right hand but I can do left-hand shots better than most of my friends who are just in an intermediate level. I'd like to switch to back hand to take some shots.Last edited by Katik; 10-12-2008 at 04:57 AM.

Yes. Can anyone tell if there's a ruling against being an ambidextrous in the international level? I put money on a friend who claims that this is against the rules. But I have never heard such thing. If there is an "IBF-approved" ruling against this, can you please give a link where we can see this copy? Thanks.

..i'm not too sure about any official BWF ruling on this, but the guys had actually discussed about it in this thread (last couple of pages of thread)
