He might has the fastest smash but he and KKK still got knocked out in the first round of AE. That means the fastest smash is worthless.

Hold on, TBH smash was done in the test right? FHF one was done in a match, so cant compare.

Thats right, record is a record. But saying "FHF has been dethrone...." is not right either since TBH never break FHF record of fastest recorded smash in a match situation

Boon Heong in Guinness Book of World Records

IT is official. Malaysia’s doubles shuttler Tan Boon Heong is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the player with the fastest smash at a speed of 421 kph. On Thursday, he received the certificate for the achievement from the founder of Yonex, Minoru Yoneyama. It was a minor consolation for Boon Heong in Birmingham during the All-England.

I don't think that FHF's smash in the 2005 Sudirman Cup Finals can be compared to TBH's smash as FHF's smash was during a game. If TBH can do a faster smash during a game, then that's a different story.

agree. I think they wont let FHF'S try because he not using yonex.
FHF is the best player in jumping smash during a game.

I dont know.. they should also have Fu Haifeng do the same thing.

I'm not a pro player but TBH looks so stiff when he smashes, and I honestly think that Fu Haifeng has the best form and technique when it comes to smashing.

Anyway why didn't he get a Guinness World Record? he did it during a match and im certain he can do faster than 412 outside of a match.

or try Jung Jae Sung. he's a smashing powerhouse too

come on bru ... Last time FHF's smash can got such a high speed just because he managed to anticipate the opponent return, and he smashed it when opponent hit it with high speed... that's why he can smashed such a speed last time :)

This is what I keep saying to my fellow baddy players. You don't need really big muscles to be able to smash hard. What you really need is good timing. If you are going to compare TBH to FHF, you'll immediately notice how big FHF's right arm is than TBH. I think if FHF is also given the chance to set a record, he could also smash as fast as TBH or even better. But once again, it's not fully attributed to his muscles but to the perfect timing.
