TH loses to LCW
MK/HS beats/loses to KKK/TBH
SDK beats Hafiz Hashim
Alvent/Hendra or whoever beats/loses to 2nd MD
SS beats WCH

Only the MD not certain, but INA already gets 2-1 advantage, with MAS's point coming from Mr.Maybe and INA's point coming from 2nd and 3rd MS.

 

TC yes, its possible. UC unfortunately not yet, CHN is still too strong.

 

They'll probably escape their Group play. But once in the knock-out rd., the key will be the Singles. Will Taufik show up? Will Sony show up? Will Simon show up?...Will any of their players show up when it matters most?..

Indonesia is a one of the 5 countries with a chance of winning the Thomas Cup. But, the Chinese backup squad will easily beat Indonesia in the Uber Cup. Heck, China can bring out their grandmas and beat any other country. Remember, their grandmas include XXF, Gao Ling, etc.

 

CHN womens are well above the rest. I wonder how do they train? Where do they get the talent from? Looks like they train extra physically since i believe INA players have relatively all the time in the world to match CHN players technically

i seriously don't think any other nation has the depth to beat china at this point.
not in the TC or in the UC.
sure, LD might have suffered a couple of defeats, but no other team can beat them over 5 matches.

..INA and MAS have the closest chance in TC. But then, yes, it'll all depend on the Singles players to deliver (INA has the most bullets; while MAS will have to rely on LCW to allow their MDs to steal 2 pts).
For the Uber Cup, i don't see anyone toppling CHN considering both of their Doubles pairs will pretty much secure 2 pts and it'll all depend on one of the Singles to deliver the clinching pt.
Of course, CHN's squads will be put to another pressure situation of trying to defend both the T&UC. Let's see if they'll live up to that pressure expectation for the 4th straight time.

 

uber cup is almost definitely out of the question.

i think the danes have a better chance than MAS and INA, PG has shown he can still beat LD on his day, JOJ has been playing poorly recently but has shown promise, JP well, he'll probably lose to BCL. but then both their doubles are capable of beating both CHN's doubles, so if PG or JOJ can get a point, an upset is on the cards.

The way i see it:
PG is the only real MS challenger out of the DEN TC squad. Forget all the promises or hope from JOJ or JP should they face CHN. Only possible chance for DEN is to hope on JP beating CL, should both be featured as 3rd MS.
But personally, should PG meet up with LD again, I don't think PG can beat LD when LD is fully prepared, which i expect him to be when the 2010 TC rolls around.

 

Uber Cup, the answer is no hope.
For Thomas Cup, the chance is still 50/50 despite INA Thomas team failed to reach finale in three consecutive editions (2004, 2006, 2008).
