i'm currently using nbg95 but its tension has dropped and i finally managed to break the string and i need to change it.
been using it for one month . any opinions would be appreciated.
looking for power and control. durability is not an issue. i usually string @ 26 - 27lbs. plz enlighten me with your extensive knowledge.

I like bg66 because its good in control, not as slippery at 95 and the repulsion is better as compared to 80. So, what else? ;)

U have to be an international player to be in 26lbs above. Else, your racket will break pretty quick. Just a small tip. ;) So, be prepare to buy lotsa rackets. ;)

You're using nbg 95 at 26 to 27lbs and broke your string in a month.
If you change it to bg66 at the same tension, you are going to break it in a day or few days of play.
I broke mine in less than 3 hours of play with bg66 at 26 x26 lbs.
If you are happy with your nbg95, I think it's still the best string for you.
If not, try bg80, it might lasts you a few weeks.

    nbg 98 not available here.
bg66 most common string around here.
i think i'll try it and see how long it resists. i'll also try bg 80 if i can find it as i love the texture.

Just a question, what if BG 66 was used at tension 20lb, and broke after, 1-2 Month, how long would it last at 24lbs?

    i personally like the bg80 @ 25
    seems to last me forever
nbg98 @ 24 usually lasts me a few hours, but a VERY powerful string
i love smashing with nbg, but cost was an issue with me
alternatively i use bg70pro @ 25 that's sorta like my back-up racket, would hate to lose tension in a back-up racket

if you have multiples of a racket and replacing strings is not an issue
go with 3-4 of the same racket with nbg98@ 25
somewhere down the road, i would recommend looking into getting a drop-weight stringing machine, soo the operating costs for your racket won't ruin your bank

    I don't know how you break NBG98 so fast. My NBG98 last me 2 months at 30lbs. I play 6-10hours a week.

durability depends on how often you play and how hard you can hit. ;)

    Let me sum it up.
If you insist that durability is not an issue ---> bg66.
Price not an issue---> nanogy 98.
    Durability and price are a concern---> bg80

price for NBG98 varies a lot, and depends upon where you get them. In US, it's about US$10-15 per 10-m set. In UK, it's about 6-10 pounds per 10-m set, or 80 pounds per 200-m reel. In China, you can get CH code one for ~45 RMB, or JP code one for ~90 RMB.

so far, it's quite expensive string on the market, unless you get 200-m reel from UK somehow.

I've tried BG85 on my AT900P and I broke it REALLY REALLY quickly... But it might be a mishit or just the lead tape the stringer put on my racquet...

I was using NBG95 with 24lbs on my AT900P and it was AWESOME... Sadly, I broke a grommet along with the string last time, so I am waiting for my package to arrive with strings and grommets
