i just got a string machine. Absolutely no idea what to do and how to do this string job thing. Anyway, I know that "pre-weave" will help string job easier. So I have done research for that at yonex website. However, I've been wondering that if it's a 2 piece string job. Then how long is the MAIN string and CROSS string should be cut at? This is where I stuck at please help thank you Infor that I know. There are 22 lines for Main: Longest line about 10 in. 21 lines for Cross, Longest line about 8 in. I don't really want to measure each and individual lines and then do the math out to have the number, please help. Please give me the number in Feet or INCHES
Lazy people, if you do not want to measure that it is not necessary to do string job coz this is one of the most exciting 22 x 10inches = 220 inches = 5.6m 21 x 8inches = 168 inches = 4.3m that's more than enough, you may use Starting clamp as jumper if the string is not long enough. while I usually use the followings (assuming you use 10m/33ft of string) : Main = 5.3 ~ 5.4m Cross = the rest
thank you, I understand how to do the math and all, i actually had the number before i posted this thread. It just that, when I see on youtube this guy do his string job. (the 41 lb tension string job) Well anyway here the thing, I see him has two extra length to pull the main line LEFT and RIGHT side, that looks about 10 in. or more. So that left I need extra 40 in. extra. Why? because it's 10 each side, but each side is double string. Now cross is a little different, I can always just string from bottom to top or top to bottom, that's make it 1 way only, so that's only 20 in. extra. So total is 60 in. extra = 5 feet. 388 in. = 32.3 feet 32.3 + 5 is not equal 33 feet
