If beating a Top 5 pair makes you a Top 5 pair yourself, there are a LOT of Top5 pairs out there....!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they fare in the French Open this week against
    1) kim/kim
    2) LYD/Ko
    3) Koo/Tan

This is some tough competition. I definitely think CB/ZN and LYD/whoever are the future dominance of Men's Doubles.

CB/ZN are still not promising as expect. Don't know why? seem not to have a leader-type within the pair thus lack of creativity and fighting instinct from the game.

Currently, CB/ZN are definitely not as strong as the Top 3 Korean pairs. Let's see if they can get there, but personally I see Kim/Kim and Lee/Ko at the top in the future.

I think the Chinese system needs to emphasize Doubles play from a young age. Sometimes I feel CB/ZN look like 2 singles players trying to play doubles together. They don't seem to have the instinct and court awareness for how to play doubles.

The Korean pairs just seem to maneuver the court better, defend better, and have better tactics to win points.

Anybody know where Chai Biao is? How come he's not competing in Hong Kong?

Chai Biao is very interesting player. In the latest German Open 2013, he switched from being a backcourt player to a frontcourt player as he partnered with Hong Wei.

I watched his game in the final, and he plays fairly well from the net, making a lot of interceptions and winneers, forcing his opponents to lift. At the same time, he still has his big smash, so when he rotates to the back, the pair suffers almost no drop in power.

Chai Biao/Hong Wei is a very interesting combination, definitely has some potential. I think a Hong Wei/Zhang Nan pair would be very interesting as well.

Actually, when he rotates to the back, the pair benefits from an increase in power from the back

i have watched chai biao/hong wei match against lee/ko in swiss open, usually when the koreans up against other pairs i always impressed with ko sung hyun's smash especially the power. but in swiss open final the korean smash nowhere near chai and hong in term of speed, power and angle. might be because the chinese have extra height in them however i do more favor chai/hong partnership more than chai/zhang.

It seems that chai biao is playing with hong Wei from now on. So the ZN/CB pair may be no more.

I really hope zhang nan keeps playing MD though because I think he is still extremely talented. Who could he pair up with though? The only player I could think of is Liu Cheng.

Definitely not guo zhendong or Shen ye.

Zhang nan showed that he's just not for doubles, no power and so error-prone.

Yeah....you must've seen another MD match than the rest of us. Chai Biao was the one fluffing practically every second shot at the net....
