Yes, after his great performance against Taufik Hidayat in the AE semi, and crushing Kenichi Tago in the AE final, promising youngster Dodgy Linecall struck twice today against Peter Gade in the SO semifinal. I can't wait for his appearance in the final!

Tell me why the linejudge would rather to give a call to CL than Gade ? He's not Chinese !

"Gade made the right call but line judge did not"

The linejudge didn't even make a call, the umpire did. The linejudge claimed obstructed, which is pretty bad on the last point of the game.

My point is that it's getting frustrating that so many important games recently have been decided by highly-contested linecalls.

The same umpire gave Chen Long a yellow card... for asking for the court to be mopped.

Seriously, is there a link or email address to use? They should at least consider video replay. It is a tragedy to have so many bad calls.

well, at least these were unbiased mistakes. it's much worse if there was deliberate discrimination against players like we've seen in the past. good thing that hasn't really happened that often recently.

I'm not sure if they've got no budget and stuff....
But at least BWF should invest a little and they should start setting up a small LCD screen at the umpire's bench to see the replays on where the shuttle actually drops.

I think they can do with replaying the shot from the TV camera and make the judge decides. That way there is no need to buy equipment YET. If the shot cannot be seen properly from the camera replay then too bad, but the judge will decide.

Participating in the Asian Junior Championships, Dodgy Linecall defeated Sukamta Evert of Indonesia.

You mean replays from the 'big screen?' .
..Provided they have one in all venues..

If not I don't think the judge will get down his bench to go look at the small camera screen lol... They have line judges and he will just trust them.

solar, so you were the line-judge at the near-side? That was a close one and you made the right call. It was right in the front of the umpire for him to weight in. The challenges, however, are those calls away from the umpire.

If you imply that being an line-judge is tough job and under-appreciated, that I agree with you.

You gotta love it when fans take it way too seriously, if you listen to the man in the background, he is clearly obsessed with Peter Gade, he also seems outraged with solar line call, (even though from the video you can tell it lands out and bounces back in)
    Great line call btw solar

yes, this was Dodgy Linecall first big appearence, there are sometimes when line judges can be slightly bias, and get away with it, when there is a very very close call, but this line call in the Korea Open 2008, takes the biscuit.

If I am right in saying, Korea were warned after 2008 about the line judges appointed ?

Yes, the were, but... nothing official.

Umpire should make a correction. That`s not a big deal.
