Many Thai players following Boosak has switched from Victor to Kumpoo. These are including Songphon, Sudket, Kunchala.
Victor sponsors Korean NT, Li Ning sponsors China NT. And now Kumpoo sponsors these Thai players. The badminton gear field is getting more and more crowded. Many brands are trying to get Yonex's market share.

From what I understand, Kumpoo was one of the reasons many of the Thai players quit the Badminton Association of Thailand. The BAT demanded that Kumpoo pay BP's expenses and also pay a fee to the BAT. Kumpoo refused to pay money to the BAT.

It appears that the differences between the BAT and many of the top players is now widening. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It's also interesting to see the SCG logo on the shirts of the players in the Kumpoo ad who worked closely with the BAT and is the biggest sponsor of many of the major tounaments in Thailand.

I think most of the flags are on the left side.

If you notice, there's only 2 on the right side and the design of those shirts are different.

The shirts they have are not available off the rack except for the one that is worn by the player 3rd from the left where's there's black diagonal stripes on the shoulders.

Its great that these independent players have the backing of a major sponsor like Siam Cement Group (SCG).

I've just got the powershot nano 2300. What a beautiful racket :D. The paintwork is as good as any top line rackets out there. Quality is top notch.
Frame is box shaped. Mine is 3U but for some reason, it feels lighter than typical 3U rackets. It is slightly head heavy. It is quite powerful racket and clears and smashes are good. Manuverability is good. Defense is good. It's an all around performance racket. Just my 2 cents. ;)

The new contract with Kumpoo explained the Thai NT player's absence from All-England and Swiss Open.

Also with the ruckus going on with the red shirts in the streets of Bangkok.

Oh btw, I didn't mean the Thai badmiton NT players in red Kumpoo shirts. :)

The contract weren't discuss till much later. The reason for absence for both the tournaments was due to the lack of time to apply visa for the players after the resignation and when everything wasn't settled. And for boonsak, was also partly because he suffered from a swollen ankle.

The players will all be back for the Asian Championship in April. :)
