BG6 BG9 BG55 BG65 BG65Ti BG65P BG66 BG66S BG66M BG68Ti BG70PRO BG75Ti BG80 BG85 NBG95 NBG98 CBG100 There's another thread similar as this but it's outdated. So time for an update. Hope that this thread can be made as a poll. Note: BG55 is a new string. http://www.yonex.co.uk/Badminton/Product.aspx?ProdID=789
wow.......0.73mm gage for BG55, looks like its the tickest Yonex string to date For some reason, its hard for me to tell the difference between 0.68mm - 0.7mm string. Thats why i dont really mind any string within that range regardless of brand or series. I surely no go for 0.65mm gage i dont know why, just cant play with it.
BG55 is 0.69mm gauge, not 0.73mm - look more closely at the photo... To answer the original question, BG80 is my favourite Yonex string, but Ashaway ZM62 is as good, if not better.
BG66 is no good. Had mine strung at 24ibs less than 1 month ago. I play 3 times a week and it broke this morning and I am now using BG65. If I had read this thread earlier, I would have pick Ashaway ZM62 as per Sketchy's recommendation.
So far i tried BG65 BG66 BG66S BG80 BG85 NBG95 NBG98, most in 26x28lbs. I like BG80, NBG98 and BG66, the so called repulsive string. BG66S is quite pricy, but i just dont like the feeling. Going to try BG85 again and BG65P. Anyone knows the difference of the string between JP version and normal version, the price differ quite a lot.
Nokh88: It's probably just as well that you didn't - ZM62 isn't very durable either, but that's just not a high priority for me, personally. You'd like ZM70 though - it's definitely better than BG65
BG66 all the way. I tried BG66 variants too eg BG66Sharp (0.68mm)-too ex and BG66 (limited edition) All England.
