Ye... Why can't they work on their other arm? Is it becuase of the balance for stronger smashes? Great example is "Fu hai feng"
huh? why would they bother wasting time and energy working on the other arm that doesn't do anything else but just to maintain balance
Well, that is weird thing that I do not understand about pros. EVERYONE always suggests to also work out your other arm so that you can be totally balanced as it would just be weird to have one BEASTLY arm, and dinky other one. A prime example of this would be Rafael Nadal. He looks AWESOME from the left side, but as soon as he faces you or turns to the right side, you would go "Eww . . ." as he is sooo imbalanced! lol Anyways, I have no idea why the pros do that.
this is their livelihood they can do whatever they want they're just focusing on the arm that's important why bother with the other that's not used i don't think they give a rat's patootie what anyone else thinks of their imbalance
There's no "working on one arm". When FHF plays badminton, what hand does he play with? Does it just seem plausible that it takes too much effort with not much gain to put in the time making his other arm the same size when he could be practising?
its not that they work solely one arm. when they do non -Court training, like lifting weights, they probably use both arms. but when on court, you usually use your racket hand. so, its gets worked out more often, and looks bigger.
Defintively!! It is obvious.. Playing badminton trains the racket arm, and forehand.. To compensate for this alot of training of the non racket arm would have to be put in.. and how much benefit would that be?? This is really the same for all racket sports.. just look at Roger Federer in Tennis for example..
HAHAHAHA!!!! I love that picture! You should post another picture of Nadal as he has a MASSIVE left upper arm!
